Discover Our Premium Local Dexter Beef and Lamb
Here at Western farm, we take pride in raising top-quality meat for your enjoyment. Our Dexter beef and lamb are grass-fed and slow-grown, ensuring superior flavour and nutrition. When we have to supplement the grass with additional feed this is sourced from local suppliers, so supporting other small independent businesses.
We only run a small herd of Dexters – currently just 5 and a small flock of sheep – currently 23 so we only have very limited availability for our meat.
We believe in ethical local produce, and our free-range practices guarantee that our animals are treated with the utmost care. Whether you’re looking for a hearty cut for your dinner table or ingredients for your favourite recipes, our meat will be just perfect for the job.
Our Beef and Lamb boxes are available seasonally with pre-orders opened when we know dates we’ll have them available for collection. When we have meat coming available I send out an email to our mailing list with details for pre-ordering. Availability is strictly on a first come, first served basis and requires you to be able to collect on a given day.

Born and reared on our farm, our animals spend the vast majority of their lives not needing to travel anywhere. If the rules allowed it we'd use a home kill & butcher service, but unfortunately that's not an option so we use a local abattoir and butcher.
