Holidays for hens. Daytime visits for pets.
Holidays for hens. Pet visits at home.
From our five individual hen hotel suites here at Western Farm to daytime visits for pets in their own homes, Ruffles offers friendly, personal animal care tailored to their needs.
Ruffles Hen Hotels
A proper holiday for your hens
Our five individual hen hotel suites cater for different flock sizes. Visiting flocks have their own accommodation and are never mixed with another customer's birds. We allow time between bookings for thorough cleaning, disinfection and preparation.
Five individual hotel suites
Each flock is given a suitable suite with a secure house and run. Ruffles Royale is our luxury hen hotel suite, alongside accommodation chosen for other flock sizes and needs.
Comfort & enrichment
Covered, secure accommodation, dust-bathing, feeders, drinkers and simple things to keep busy hens content.
Feeding & checks
Soya-free layers pellets and grit as standard, with several daily checks. Their secure runs keep them safe day and night.
Fresh for every flock
No same-day turnarounds: each suite is cleaned, disinfected, dried and freshly bedded between stays.
Health & updates
We discuss individual routines and vet details before a stay, and aim to share holiday updates by WhatsApp.

Ruffles Pet Visiting
Pet visits in familiar surroundings
Not every animal needs a holiday away from home. For pets who are happiest in familiar surroundings, we offer local daytime visits to keep them fed, comfortable and cared for while you're away.
From cats and dogs to poultry and other animals, we work around their individual routines, feeding requirements and care needs.
Visits may include feeding, fresh water, basic cleaning, agreed care routines, checking everything is as it should be, and a bit of company where appropriate. Pet Visiting is generally available within around 5 miles of Kingsdon. Visits further afield may be possible by arrangement and may incur an additional travel charge.
Pet Visiting enquiry
Tell us what you need
We will get in touch to discuss your needs. Sending an enquiry does not confirm a booking. Please do not include alarm codes, key-safe combinations or detailed medication instructions here.
About Ruffles
Your animals, cared for like our own.
Ruffles is run by Bex, with Paul lending a hand, here at Western Farm in Kingsdon.
Every animal has its own personality, routines and little quirks. We take the time to get to know them, so they're comfortable, happy and properly looked after while you're away.
